Play the Guitar DVDs
The guitar is a beautiful instrument, which when played properly produces mellifluous notes and a magical sound. However, mastering the instrument requires lot of practice and more importantly coordination of the hands, eyes and the mind. One must simultaneously be able to use the fingers of one hand to pluck the strings, the fingers of the other hand to play the notes, and follow the notations from a book. This needs lot of training and only the right trainer can make things easy for you. One can play the guitar by using a DVD which brings the expertise of a skilled trainer, following whom difficult things could be mastered.
To start with, one hand is used to pluck the strings. The movement of your strumming hand should be free and consistent. This is where the DVD becomes so useful. The expert shows exactly where to position the elbow over the body of the guitar. The guitar instructor also demonstrates how to hold the plectrum used to strike the string.
Sometimes using fingers to pick could be painful and unless properly held, it is difficult to hit the strings consistently and smoothly with a plectrum. The visual demonstration of the basics, which one can watch as many times as required to master it, makes a whole lot of difference. You will not only be able to hear how the guitar should sound but also view multiple angles of how the guitar should be played.
Sometimes hitting the strings at the wrong place doesn't produce the sound. This could be because of improper positioning of the guitar on the thighs or not holding the guitar properly, or excessive movement of the elbows. It is easier to play the guitar by learning from a DVD presenting highly trained experts showing the right way of doing things as they are well aware of the difficulties and the common traps where students can go wrong.
Being able to freeze the lecture and visually compare the holding position, sitting position and plectrum between themselves and the trainer really helps the guitarist to improve and do things according to the right procedure, thus expediting the process of learning.
Learn to play the guitar DVDs are always available for one to revisit and refer should you need a refresher course. In short, there is an expert waiting to demonstrate the proper techniques to play the guitar, including some tips to get over known difficulties. All of this can be achieved with guitar dvds at the comfort of your home.
