The tuning pegs are the ones responsible adjusting the strings for tuning purposes. The nut is the material after the headstock. It is usually color white with carvings where the strings are inserted to assure that the strings are properly guided to the pegs. The frets are the metal strips located at the neck of the guitar. The neck is the long and skinny part where the strings are located. The body is the largest part of the instrument where the hole is located. The hole is responsible for the creation of vibrations when the strings are hit. The last part is the bridge, which holds the strings at the opposite part of the headstock.
Each string corresponds to certain chords: E, A, D, G, B, E. These chords are numbered as 6 down to 1 with the 6th as the thickest and the 1st as the thinnest. Reading guitar chords is also easy. Chord charts show numbers that correspond to the fret number where the fingers will be placed. An X means a dead string. This means that the string should not be hit. The O means an open string which means no finger will be placed on that string but will still be played.
